Orlando, Florida - According to clickorlando.com, an entrepreneur is selling gun range targets featuring an outline of Trayvon Martin in a hoodie. The person, who wishes to remain anonymous, emblazoned the gun range target with the outline of a gray hoodie (though no face is depicted) with crosshairs on its chest. The target also clearly displays a bag of Skittles candy in one of the pockets and an iced tea in the hoodie's hand. In an online ad, the seller says that Zimmerman is innocent and that he shot a thug. George Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara called it "the highest level of disgust and the lowest level of civility." O'Mara said he is worried about how Martin's parents and the community will react to the image of their son on a target intended to be used for shooting practice. The seller told the press that his "main motivation was to make money off the controversy." The sell also claims that there is a high demand for the targets, and that he “sold out in 2 days." After being contacted by the media, the seller has taken the ads off-line and claims the targets would no longer be sold.

By Andre Michael Eggelletion 2-15-2012 The ugly jabs at the late Whitney Houston keep coming on talk radio. One of the most recent and probably nastiest derogatory remarks about the late pop diva was delivered on the John and Ken show, which is aired on KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles. Afternoon drive listeners of this Clear Channel station, many of whom with children in their cars, heard the host call the late Ms. Houston a “crack ho” on the air. Click here to listen: John & Ken Whitney Houston “At some point you’re just sick of it all, and so is everybody else in the industry; all her friends and hangers on; everybody who knew had to deal with her. It’s like ah Jesus… here comes the crack ho again, what’s she gonna do ah look at that she’s doin handstands next to the pool. Very good crack ho… after while everybody’s exhausted. And then you find out she’s dead. It’s like really; took this long.” The comments, which were made on Tuesday, Februray 14, 2012 during their live broadcast, have started a fire storm of criticism from fans of Whitney Houston and from professionals in the broadcast industry.
By Andre Michael Eggelletion With the killing of Muammar Qaddafi in Libya today, can the GOP continue to say that President Obama is soft on terrorism? I fear that they probably will, and never give this president any credit for anything. Nonetheless, here is a list of some of the terrorist leaders that have threatened America’s security who have been dispatched during President Obama’s first term of office. 1. Muammar Qaddafi in Libya today 2. Osama bin Laden, killed in May 2011. 3. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) leader Anwar al-Awlaki. 4. Al Qaeda’s chief of Pakistan operations, Abu Hafs al-Shahri, was killed in Waziristan, Pakistan. 5. In August, ‘Atiyah ‘Abd al-Rahman, the deputy leader of al Qaeda was killed. 6. In June, one of al Qaeda’s most dangerous commanders, Ilyas Kashmiri, was killed in Pakistan. 7. In Yemen that same month, three AQAP senior operatives Ammar al-Wa’ili, Abu Ali al-Harithi, and Ali Saleh Farhan were killed. 8. In Somalia, Al-Qa’ida in East Africa (AQEA) senior leader Harun Fazul was killed. 9. Administration officials also herald the recent U.S./Pakistani joint arrest of Younis al-Mauritani in Quetta. 10. Going back to August 2009, Tehrik e-Taliban [...]

By Andre Michael Eggelletion Now that Col. Muammar Qaddafi, is dead, how will Libya’s oil policy change? Indeed, preparations have been underway for months in Washington that will guide post-Qaddafi US/Libya relations during Libya’s political transition. What will happen to US oil sanctions? On February 25, 2011, persons and groups in the United States were blocked from petroleum transactions with the Qaddafi regime by President Obama's broad sanctions order "Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Libya," E.O. 13566. By April 26, 2011, anticipating permanence in Qaddafi’s departure, the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced how persons and groups in the United States would eventually license petroleum transactions. What companies may be engaged? These new licenses would only be granted for transactions with companies operating under the auspices of the anti-Gaddafi interim governing group in eastern Libya; the Transitional National Council of Libya (TNC). Those companies are: Qatar Petroleum, Arab Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), or the Vitol group of companies related to oil, gas, or petroleum products exported from Libya under the auspices of the (TNC). None of the pro-Qaddafi groups, companies, or governmental components in Libya can receive any benefit from transactions licensed by [...]

By Andre Michael Eggelletion Millions of Americans have lost their jobs since the economy began its severe contraction in 2008. Millions more people are under-employed and finding it increasingly difficult to put food on the table. But one industry holds tremendous opportunity in an otherwise dismal job market: health care, or as Republicans like to call it: Obamacare. Obamacare meets growth in demand Every industry thrives when the demand is high for its goods and services, and the health care field is no exception to the rule. Because the birthrate exploded in the United States after World War II, we are now at the beginning of a 10 to 20 year-long period where these “baby boomers” will be requiring more health care services. This is why the health care industry has been the epicenter of job growth in every month of the recession. On average, 24,000 jobs were created in the health care field over the last 12 months. Experts say we can expect 24% growth in health care jobs, or 4.3 million additional jobs until 2021. The time to get trained is now The Affordable Health Care Act of 2010 was a wise answer to increasing demand for health [...]

By Andre Michael Eggelletion Today President Obama rejected criticism from Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and the Congressional Black Caucus, who insist that he is ignoring the economic plight of black people. The president indicated in an interview with Richard Wolf of USA TODAY and Justin Hyde of the Detroit Free Press that it would not be wise for him to only focus on the troubles of African-Americans in the recession. “I will tell you that I think the most important thing I can do for the African-American community is the same thing I can do for the American community, period, and that is get the economy going again and get people hiring again,” the president said. In further stressing a broader view the president said: “I think it's a mistake to start thinking in terms of particular ethnic segments of the United States rather than to think that we are all in this together and we are all going to get out of this together.” The CBC’s push for less disparity On Wednesday, 10 members of the black caucus boycotted a key House committee vote on financial reform.
By Andre Michael Eggelletion Tea Party/Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann (R-MN) promised voters that they would pay only $2 per gallon for gasoline if she is President. In remarks on a campaign stop in South Carolina Bachmann said "Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again… That will happen." I can tell you now that the only way we will see $2 gas anytime soon, is if the economy enters another period of major contraction. I’ll talk about that later in this opinion editorial. What is Michele Bachmann trying to pull? Mrs. Bachmann is trying to out-“slick” Gov. “Slick Rick”. “Slick” Rick Perry wanted you to believe that Ben Bernanke was calibrating monetary policy to help President Obama get re-elected, which is a lie. Bachmann wants you to believe she can control gas prices as president, which is another lie. I know that there is a huge difference between campaign rhetoric and actual governing but this lie takes the cake. If Bachman really believes what she said, then she’s crazy. If she doesn’t know that no single individual, not even the president, can control gas prices, then she has no business in the [...]

By Andre Michael Eggelletion Texas Governor and Presidential hopeful, Rick Perry’s comments about the Fed has given the blogger on the Left an opportunity to paint him as a shoot from the hip Texan like George W. Bush. But was Perry correct in his statement about Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke? “If this guy prints more money between now and the election, I don’t know what y’all would do to him in Iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in Texas.” Perry went on to say that “printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost…treasonous in my opinion.” Governor Perry seems to be trying to play the Tea Party like a fine violin. I believe that Gov. Perry knows full well that the Federal Reserve is an independent agency in America, and that no president has any jurisdiction over monetary policy. The governor seems to want to convince voters that the Fed is printing money for President Obama to use to create jobs and get re-elected. As he said, the governor believes the Fed is playing politics with monetary policy. First of all, since the onset of the recession almost 3 years [...]
